The Swim and Survive Adult programme provides a pathway for late learners who've not had the opportunity to previoulsy gain swimming and water safety skills.

Intoduction to Swimming


Introduction

If you have never been swimming or have a fear of the water, this is where you start


We will introduce you to swimming, help build your confidence and prepare you for our beginner level


We'll introduce you to the concept of floating, including standing to recover


We'll make sure you're comfortable puttiing your face in the water as well as exhaling underwater

Level One


Beginner

This is our entry level


 You will learn to float and to glide on both your front and back


Will learn front and back torpedo, front and back sculling,  freestyle and  backstroke, all to a distance of 10m


Will learn to swim underwater through a submurged obstacle

Level Two


Intermediate

Enroll Now


You are already competent with the skills outlined in the beginner level


You will learn to swim freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, survival backstroke along with front and back sculling, all to a distance of 25m


You will learn to swim underwater and recover a submerged object


you will be able to continuously swim for 50m using at least one swimming and one survival stroke

Not Sure Where to Start?

Are you happy to take your feet off the bottom of the pool?

Are you happy to put your face in the water?

Can you perform a float on your front and your back and stand up in the water from the float position?

Could you swim 3 to 5 metres of any technique to get yourself to safety?


If you answer “no” to any or all of the above then you need to start in the Introduction class for adults.


If you can perform the above comfortably then you can move into the Beginner class for adults.
